Men might have had theirs in the past and are certainly invited to this one, but only with women's liberation could a true societal change occur.

In recent decades, women have chosen openly to become single mothers while advancing their careers, backed by autonomy no longer frowned upon. This lifestyle was further reinforced by the advent of in vitro fertilization techniques in the early '80s.

The second wave of feminism propelled the third in the early '90s, introducing new topics such as ecofeminism, lesbian feminism, and trans feminism. Women began taking charge of issues stemming from their sexual revolution still dominated by men.

The story of women's sexual revolution continues today, spurred by a fourth wave of feminism that emerged last decade, aiming to dismantle the remnants of a patriarchal society, fighting against blights like sexual harassment and violence against women.
