Beginner ropes: Ropes made of nylon or polyester are perfect for starting out as they allow the rope to slide more easily, don't leave pronounced marks on the skin, and can be used comfortably. While it’s true that the knots might not be as elaborate, they offer a good option for practice and are easy to clean.
Size: If you are just starting with body knots, you can choose a shorter type of rope, around 10 metres, to avoid working with ropes that are too long.
Practice: Before practicing directly on the body, you can do so on a pillow.
Safety: Always have special rope scissors (nursing scissors) on hand, so you can cut the rope if any complications arise during practice.

Prohibited: You shouldn’t tie, knot, or pass the rope in certain areas of the body: neck, armpits, back of the knee and elbow (for safety, it's best to avoid the entire knee and elbow area), and diaphragm area.
Limits: Set clear boundaries with the person involved in the practice. It is important to communicate at all times the pain threshold, preferred pressure, and areas where you do not want the rope to touch or make contact.

- 2024-11-01 It’s a lovely Japanese silk cord that feels smooth and doesn’t get tangled easily, but makes tight knots. Top cord in my collection. The only downside is the small pieces at the ends, they feel cheap and rough, but I managed to solve it by taking them off and wrapping electrical tape around the ends. Considering the cost, I would definitely suggest this product!

- 2024-11-06 Nothing negative to report about the cord apart from the foil tips. As some folks have mentioned, a touch of insulating tape will sort you out just fine. It's pleasant and smooth, leaves marks without causing any irritation.

- 2024-10-10 Much gentler than I thought, every rope I've purchased before has been too rough on my skin and this rope feels fantastic!! My new preferred rope. The only drawback is that it is taped on the ends instead of metal, so there is a possibility of the tape coming off (but it hasn't for me)
