We mixed the strong lubricant that it includes as instructed, but we discovered that using only plain water-based lubricant worked far superior for gliding smoothly. We didn't have a pump the initial time we used it. Inflating it manually which wasn't terrible but we purchased a hand pump to inflate it the next time. Certainly would purchase it again!
